This makes me want to conclude this is a Windows 10 problem because two installs (on different hard drives) have these different results, one installing, the other getting the 0x00000bcb error. If I connect the Samsung printer to system B via USB cable, it prints fine, it just gets the 0x00000bcb error when attempting One gets theĠx00000bcb error, and the other installs the shared printer with no problem. I have two copies of Windows 10 installed on this system B desktop. I have network discovery, fileĪnd printer sharing, and a homegroup set up on both systems A and B (this one). And yes, I've installed the driver on this system B. The text of the error says ' The specified printer driver was not found on the system and needs to be downloaded'. This happens when I do the 'Add Printer'. Connecting to the Canon printer works just fine, but when I attempt to add the Samsung (ML-2525 via Devices & PrintersĪpplet of Control Panel), it 'sees' the printer, but gets error 0x00000bcb. I'm trying to set up access to the Canon and Samsung printers. On system B I have Windows 10 Pro cable connected via router to system A. I have system A running Windows 7 with two shared printers, a Canon and a Samsung printer, both marked shared. Two copies of Windows 10 on the same desktop, one installs, the other doesn't.
